Forgiveness Reflection

Forgiveness Reflection
Forgiveness is not excusing what happened.
It is releasing yourself from carrying the weight of it.

This exercise guides you through clarifying what you're holding onto, what you're ready to release, what you learned, and what freedom looks like for you.

Forgiveness is optional. It must be chosen — not forced.

Components of Forgiveness

1 Acknowledge the harm done
2 Feel the pain associated with it
3 Let go of the anger and resentment
4 Access empathy and compassion toward yourself and the person who harmed you
5 Commit to reconciliation if desired
6 Move forward with freedom
